Transparent existence is an interactive light and sound installation originally created for the Malawian museum in the Hilmya neighborhood of Cairo. The translation of this piece to la Capella in Barcelona, moving from Islamic to Christian architecture, opens up new emotional combinations and gives rise to an investigation of the influence of context on sonic space. The historical and cultural changes implied in the movement of the piece from one end of the Mediterranean to the other, this Displacement, open up possibilities of a new way of understanding the sounds used and their movement in space.

Sound Cells - *(Fridays’)

As a part of: Egypt’s 21st. Youth Salon & Creation Festival
Sound Cells (Fridays’) is the second sound installation project of the (sound cells) work series 2009/10. This particular installation is monitoring the soundscape that repeats itself in the artist’s neighborhood every weekend during the daytime, the project is based on grapping a real sound elements from the neighborhood to the art space, containing a raw field recordings and some physical objects, that works parallel to create a sort of neutral image to this 'social' repetitive sonic phenomena.

Sound Element & Element no.2, is a Live sound performances including visuals, the concept of this work was based on a mixture between different layers of sounds and images, in a try to create kind of indirect relationship between it, in such kind of chapters to unknown story. The performance time is approximately 40 min. 4 main chapters (sound-visual clips). Using different computers and multi sound-channels, mixer and video projector.
